    This live online training workshop provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the LEED Rating System.

    The training focuses on the credit categories that make up the LEED Rating System, and key concepts and best practices related to implementing LEED certification using real-world examples.

    Topics covered include: the LEED implementation process, project site factors, water efficiency and management, energy impacts, materials selection, indoor environmental quality, synergistic opportunities, stakeholder involvement in innovation, project surroundings, and building occupant and project team engagement.

    The material is delivered in a clear and concise format that is engaging and interactive.

    We review example scenarios from real world projects to help you better understand the material and concepts covered, while giving you an opportunity to understand how to put the concepts into practice.

    This course is delivered as four 2-hour live online sessions.

    Students will have access to video recordings of the class sessions for viewing at your convenience for a period of up to 2 weeks after training completion.

    Our LEED Project Experience Operations + Maintenance (O+M) training provides participants with the required project experience and a letter of attestation necessary for students to qualify to sit for any of the LEED AP specialty exams.

    Students will complete project team exercises on an actual building registered as a LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations &Maintenance (EBOM) project. In this way, students will have access to real world, applied LEED project experience. This class offers students a rare opportunity to work on a LEED EBOM project in Hawaii!

    Please note that in order to sit for a LEED AP specialty exam, participants must have either already obtained the LEED Green Associate (GA) credential or schedule to sit for both the LEED GA exam and the LEED AP specialty exam on the same day. Participants will not be approved by the GBCI to sit for a LEED AP specialty exam without having first passed the LEED GA exam.

    The online version of this class will be delivered as four 1.5-hour live online instructional sessions. Students will have access to video recordings of the class sessions for viewing at their convenience for a period of up to 2 weeks after training completion.

    Seminar Description:

    This 2-hour seminar provides participants with an overview of the LEED EBOM rating system and a detailed discussion of the opportunities and challenges of implementing a LEED EBOM program with the goal of transforming commercial buildings into high-performance and sustainable buildings. Participants will learn how to assess the opportunities and benefits of pursuing LEED EBOM certification for commercial buildings, how to address many of the challenges of achieving LEED EBOM certification, and gain a better understanding of some of the tools and strategies available to help projects achieve and maintain LEED EBOM certification. Select prerequisites and credits will be covered from each of the credit categories that make of the LEED EBOM rating system.

    Target Audience:

    This 2 hour seminar is relevant for facility managers and facility engineers, building operators and technicians, sustainability coordinators and officers, architects and engineers, and for anyone wanting to obtain a better understanding of how to implement LEED EBOM in commercial buildings.
